ABOUT US

Athyrio was founded in 2006 to provide custom embedded software solutions, with a particular focus on the coin-operated amusement industry. We take great pride in taking projects from concept to market.

Athyrio was started by Sam Zehr, a longtime veteran of the coin-op industry who previously designed, programmed, and shipped software at Capcom Pinball, Konami, Midway, Incredible Technologies, and PlayMechanix.

Throughout the years we’ve had the opportunity to work on electromechanical devices such as pinball and redemption games, purely software products like arcade games, and even highly regulated devices such as slot and poker machines.

In parallel with the larger projects, we are often called upon to help with custom hardware to make them run such as additional I/O boards. We work with the EEs from the design stage to production, making both the API/drivers and firmware.

In short, we can provide software for every part of a project, except (obviously) making web pages!
